The VDEC Universal Decompressor Cable Kit is designed to make starting large-capacity two-stroke motorcycles easier and more controllable and is ideal for high-compression engines. The kit allows the rider to momentarily release cylinder pressure during kick-starting, reducing both kick-back and the effort required to turn the engine over The kit incorporates a decompressor valve with an M14 x 1.25 thread, suitable for cylinder heads that accept a standard 14 mm spark plug thread. Operated by a handlebar-mounted lever and clamp-on cable assembly, the decompressor can be activated instantly during starting and released once the engine fires, restoring full compression for normal running. Manufactured with Venhill's renowned featherlight materials, the VDEC kit offers smooth, reliable operation and durable performance in demanding off-road and classic motorcycle applications and is particularly suited where easier starting and improved rider control are desirable.
